THE PERSON WHO DOES KIND DEEDS WILL BE REWARDED

生命﹐希伯來文的chay(Strong 字典2416)﹐是和健康﹐富有和活力都有關係的。

THE PERSON WHO DOES KIND DEEDS WILL BE REWARDED

Scripture REading: Proverb 3:1-2

"My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee." (Proverbs 3:1-2)

"My son!" These words are spoken over and over in the book of Proverbs. I call out to "My Son."

I have poured out My soul to My sons throughout the ages, showing them the path of light, truth and righteousness, and warning them of the paths that lead to destruction.

In these two verses I reveal the blessings which obedience will bring to the life of the one who is observant to My Word.

My son, forget not My Torah(8451), but let thine heart keep my Mitzvah (4687).

The Torah does not only include the words of Moses, but it means, the teachings of the wise teacher who instructs My people, whether it be his son or his disciples. The Torah was never meant to be a set of rules to bind My people, but to show them the way of truth and holiness, and to protect them from the evil and the consequences of sin which destroyed the nations around them.

A mitzvah (4687)is "a command, a precept, a law, whether human or divine." The Law of Moses was also called Mitzvah.

Today's mitzvah is a good deed, a kind act which one does for the Lord or another person.

The wonderful reward which is given to those who keep God's Word in their hearts and do kind deeds to others is that they will enjoy length of days and long life. This kind of life is not just existence, but a life that includes wholeness of body, mind and spirit.

Life, chay (2416), was associated with health, prosperity and vitality.

On top of all this, peace shall be added to the one who lives a holy life and performs deeds of kindness.

You say, "It is impossible to always do what is right!"

But I say, If it was impossible I would not have asked it of My children. It was possible - even under the Old Covenant; and it is even more possible now under the New Covenant, when I have given you the Holy Spirit to help you.
